Comcel and MoreMagic Solutions Offer Electronic Recharge to Voila Customers in Haiti

Eliminate Cards and Allow Flexible Denominations for Growing Base of Thousands of Customers

Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and Newton, Mass. - April 1, 2008

Communication Cellulaire D'Haiti SA (Comcel), a leading mobile communications provider in Haiti, and MoreMagic Solutions, a leading mobile payments platform provider, announced today that Voila is now offering electronic recharge for mobile phone customers using SMS and the MoreMagic MTopUp solution. The electronic recharge service, called Direk Direk, enables Voila users to prepay for airtime and services easily, immediately, and in any denomination, at a Voila store or dealer. Using a mobile handset, POS device, or web interface, the Voila dealer enters the customer's number, a pin code and the credit amount, and the mobile customer is immediately credited.

Since Direk Direk was made available in late 2007, the take up has been remarkable. Without scratch card inventory, dealers can distribute airtime more quickly throughout the country, ensuring a better reach, particularly in rural areas. By offering this enhancement for mobile customers and dealers, Comcel is demonstrating its leadership in bringing technology advances to previously underserved markets.

"With the MoreMagic MTopUp solution, we are able to offer our customers tremendous flexibility in how they pay for services on their mobile phones," said Robin Padberg, General Manager of Comcel. "Customers can choose to refill their phones at any dealer, with immediate access to credits, using either a small or large amount of money, according to their budget."

"Comcel's rapid deployment and the market success of electronic recharge in Haiti demonstrate that MoreMagic is the ideal platform to improve the mobile customer's user experience," said Pankaj Gulati, chairman and CEO, MoreMagic Solutions. "We look forward to offering further enhancements to mobile services in Haiti, as a marketing partner and supplier to Comcel."
