More Frequent Recharges without a Scratch Card

Nuevatel PCS de Bolivia SA, (Nuevatel), a leading mobile communications provider in Bolivia, and MoreMagic Solutions, a leading mobile payments platform provider, announced today that Nuevatel, providing service under the brand name VIVA, is now offering electronic recharge for its customers throughout Bolivia. The MoreMagic MTopUp solution enables VIVA users to prepay for airtime and services easily, immediately, and in small or large increments, at VIVA stores, dealers or independent agents. Using a mobile handset, POS device, or web interface, the VIVA agent enters the customer's number, a pin code and the credit amount, and the mobile customer is immediately credited.

Nuevatel SA has been a leader in GSM deployment in Latin America, first launching commercial service in 2000 in La Paz, Cochabamba, and Santa Cruz, and now available throughout Bolivia as VIVA. The electronic recharge service allows VIVA users to make more calls and try out new services, by allowing payments in large or small denominations. Customers enjoy the availability and flexibility of the service, as well as its ease of use. Dealers and agents can make airtime available throughout the country without managing a physical scratch card inventory.
