Pankaj Gulati
CEO and Chairman
Prior to becoming the CEO and Chairman, Pankaj was the VP of Operations at MoreMagic where he was responsible for Product Management, Pre-sales, Customer Support, and Contracts. Previously, Pankaj was the Director of Wireless Intelligent Network Applications at Lucent Technologies, where he was a part of the management team that grew the business to $150M with over 50 customers worldwide in 3 years. With Lucent, Pankaj deployed Network Care and Customer Care solutions for Sprint PCS, AT&T, Alltel, US Cellular, Cingular, Telefonica, and Telecom Italia. Pankaj holds a Masters degree in Computer Science from the University of Missouri and has completed the Executive Management Program at the Harvard Business School. Pankaj is a frequent speaker at the Babson College Executive Education Program.
Paul Smith
Chief Financial Officer
As Chief Financial Officer, Paul is responsible for all financial and administrative operations of MoreMagic. He brings more than 20 years of financial leadership experience and a track record of success to MoreMagic. Before joining MoreMagic, Paul was the CFO at 170 Systems, Inc., which delivered Business Process Management solutions that integrated document imaging and document management. 170 Systems was acquired by Kofax plc. Prior to 170 Systems, Paul was CFO at DataSage, which was acquired by Vignette, and at Terascape, which was acquired by EMC. While in these roles, Paul was instrumental in building the infrastructure to allow each company to grow from early stage startup to profitable more robust organizations supporting higher levels of customers and employees. Paul began his career in the audit services area of the Boston office of Ernst & Young LLP. Paul holds a BS in Business Administration from Boston University, a MS in Accounting and an MBA from Northeastern University and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Satyen Hombali
Vice President - International Top-up
Satyen's experience includes software sales, product management, professional services management and technology consulting. He has sold, developed, implemented and supported technology solutions in a variety of industries including financial services, distribution, manufacturing, government and health insurance. His prior employers include global corporations such as PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Unilever and Tata Motors, as well as several startups and emerging players in the software and technology services sectors. Satyen has a bachelor's degree in engineering with honors from IIT Chennai, in India.
Shyam Chittajallu
Vice President - Technology
Shyam is responsible for implementing the product roadmap, architecture, R&D, and Quality Management. Prior to joining MoreMagic, Shyam was a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff in the Wireless Intelligent Network Applications Group at Lucent Technologies, where he was responsible for pre-sales support and systems engineering for several Tier 1 operators, including Sprint PCS, TNZ, and Singtel. He has over 20 years experience in the field of telecommunications software development. Shyam holds a Masters degree in Computer Science from the University of Delaware.
Nimit S. Sawhney
Director - Research & Development
Nimit is responsible for the design and development of new products and services at MoreMagic in addition to leading the pre-sales technical discussions with customers. Prior to joining MoreMagic, Nimit worked at Amdocs where he was responsible for the development and delivery of customer care and billing solutions to tier 1 mobile operators in Europe. Nimit holds a Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering and Business Management from the Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.
Sally Bate
Vice President - Marketing
Sally has global responsibility for all aspects of marketing at MoreMagic, including corporate and product marketing. She brings over 12 years experience in international roles, the majority of which has been gained in the mobile telecoms sector. Prior to joining MoreMagic, Sally worked for the GSMA where she was Marketing Director for the Association’s Mobile Money portfolio of initiatives, including Mobile Money Transfer (MMT), Pay-Buy-Mobile and Mobile Money for the Unbanked which she launched in February 2009. In her capacity as Chair of the MMT Working Group Marketing Sub-Committee at the GSMA, Sally worked with mobile operator members around the world to define send and receive marketing best practices for MMT. Sally has previously worked for a number of vendors in the telecoms sector, including Openwave Systems where she was responsible for marketing in the EMEA region.
Linus Lundberg
Vice President - Strategic Business Development
Linus brings 18 years experience of commercializing new technologies and bringing solutions to market as an entrepreneur, venture investor and management consultant. In his operating career, with ABB, Axis Communications and SatoriTech, he started and led activities from early product development to market rollout and expansion. As a Principal at Vision Capital Linus made investments in emerging technology companies in Europe and the US and actively supported the international growth of his portfolio companies. During his tenure with McKinsey & Company he assisted large corporate clients with strategy as well as operational improvement initiatives within a broad range of industries, including telecom, aerospace, automotive, consumer products and banking. Linus holds a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden, with a major in Aeronautics from Imperial College, UK.
Kimberly Obremski
Vice President of Sales - North America
Kimberly is Vice President of Sales, North America at MoreMagic. She is a veteran of the wireless industry with over 20 years of strategic sales and marketing experience delivering innovative products and solutions to wireless operators around the globe. Prior to joining MoreMagic, Kimberly held the position of VP Sales, North America for Velti Plc, a leader in mobile marketing and advertising solutions, where she was responsible for leading their successful entry into the North American market and securing significant business with their first Tier 1 operator in a highly competitive market. Kimberly's experience also includes 13 years at bcgi (Boston Communications Group) where she was EVP, Sales and Marketing and was a key contributor in bringing bcgi into its leadership position in prepaid wireless services, content management, customer care and top-up solutions. At bcgi, Kimberly built a global sales organization from the ground up and led her team into winning selling strategies and bcgi into aggressive and profitable growth. Before bcgi, Kimberly began her career in wireless with Appex Cellular Information Management (now EDS PCC) where she had marketing responsibility for their clearing, fraud, roaming, and postpaid billing solutions.
Alex Tarlamis
Vice President of Sales - Latin America
Alex Tarlamis is Vice President of Sales, Latin America and is responsible for sales and market development in the region. Alex brings 20 years of international wireless and telecommunications experience to MoreMagic having spent most of his career with Nortel Networks. During his tenure at Nortel, Alex had extensive international experience including offshore assignments in Asia Pacific and Brazil in various positions of engineering, business development, and sales. Prior to joining MoreMagic, Alex spent three years with bcgi starting their global business development and progressed into sales and channel partnerships for the Caribbean and Latin America. Alex holds a Bachelor of Engineering and also speaks Spanish and Portuguese.
